Work in Silence

Rafie was a young man from a small village who loved to dream big. One morning, he had a strong idea. He wanted to grow vegetables and sell them in the town market. The idea made him very excited.

He began telling everyone about his plan—his friends, his neighbors, and even strangers at the tea shop. At first, people listened politely. But soon, their words began to change. Some said he did not have enough money. Others said the business would fail.

Hearing these negative comments again and again made Rafie feel sad and confused. Slowly, doubt entered his mind. He began to believe what they said, and after some time, he stopped working on his idea completely.

Months passed.

One day, Rafie’s old friend Kareem came to visit him. Kareem was calm and quiet, but he looked confident. During their conversation, Rafie learned that Kareem had opened a successful shop in another town. Rafie was shocked because Kareem had never talked about big plans before.

Rafie asked him how he had done it.

Kareem smiled and said that talking too much about plans can steal a person’s energy. He explained that people’s opinions—especially negative ones—can stop someone before real work even begins. That was why he chose to work quietly and focus only on action.

These words stayed in Rafie’s mind.

He decided to try again, but this time, he made a promise to himself to stay silent. He stopped talking about his goals. He woke up early every morning, worked in his small garden, learned from his mistakes, and slowly improved his skills. He did not look for praise or approval from others.

After some time, Rafie’s garden became full of fresh, healthy vegetables. He started selling them in the market and earned good money. His hard work brought success.

When people finally noticed and asked him when he had started, Rafie only smiled and said that while others were talking, he was working.

This story teaches us that working in silence can protect our dreams. When we focus on effort instead of words, success speaks for itself.
