A Small Change Can Make a Big Difference
Once upon a time, there was a man named Jack. He was not happy with his life. One day, he met his friend Emma and decided to share his feelings with her.
“Emma, I don’t feel good,” Jack said sadly. “I hate my routine. Every day feels the same, and my life is boring.”
Emma listened carefully and asked him to explain his daily life.
Jack told her that he woke up at 7:00 every morning. After waking up, he brushed his teeth, washed his face, and ate the same breakfast every day—bread and tea. Then he went to his office, sat at a desk, and typed on a computer for eight long hours.
In the evening, Jack went home and sat on the sofa. He watched the same news on the same TV channel every day. For dinner, he always ate rice and chicken. He never ate pizza or salad—only rice and chicken. At night, he went to sleep, woke up the next morning, and repeated the same routine again.
Emma smiled and said, “You can change your life. Small changes can make a big difference.”
She gave Jack some simple advice. She told him to try a new breakfast, like fruit, eggs, or yogurt. She suggested moving his body by riding a bicycle to work or going for a walk. She also advised him to change his evenings by calling a friend, reading a book, or listening to music instead of watching TV.
Jack started thinking creatively. He asked if he should dance while brushing his teeth or work upside down like a bat. Emma laughed and told him to try real ideas, like singing in the shower.
After thinking for a while, Jack understood something important.
“My routine is not the problem,” he said. “The problem is me. I do the same things in the same way every day.”
Jack decided to change his life. He planned to stretch for five minutes every morning, learn to cook new meals like spaghetti, and talk more with his co-workers at work.
In the end, Jack learned an important lesson. A routine is like clay. You can shape it the way you want. You can make it boring, or you can make it exciting. Jack chose to make his life exciting.
