The Goose with the Golden Eggs

Once there was a man and his wife who owned a very special goose. Every day, the goose laid one golden egg. They were very happy and felt lucky to have it.

But after a while, they became greedy. They wanted to get rich faster. They thought, “If the goose lays golden eggs, maybe it has a lot of gold inside it!”

So, they decided to kill the goose and take all the gold at once. But when they cut it open, they found nothing special. It was just like any other goose.

They had lost their goose—and all the golden eggs forever.

Moral: Don’t be greedy. Think before you act.
