The Clever Fox

One day, a fox is very hungry.

He walks in the forest.

He sees a big tree.

On the tree, there is a crow.

The crow has a piece of cheese in her mouth.

The fox wants the cheese.

He thinks, “How can I get the cheese?”

The fox smiles and says,

“Hello, beautiful crow!

You have nice feathers.

You are a pretty bird.

Can you sing for me?”

The crow is happy.

She wants to sing.

She opens her mouth —

The cheese falls down!

The fox takes the cheese and runs away.

The crow is sad.

Moral:

Be careful with people who say too many nice words.
