Kid’s Admission Interview

A little girl was taken by her parents to a reputed school for her UKG (Upper Kindergarten) admission interview. The competition was tough, and the parents were quite nervous.

They entered the principal’s office. The parents sat on the sofa, and the child sat opposite the principal.

The principal began with a warm smile:

Principal: What’s your name?
Kid: Sita.

Principal: Good. Tell me something you know.
Kid: I know many things. You can ask me anything you like!

Her mother panicked a little, thinking that answer might ruin the chances of admission. She was about to speak, but the principal gently stopped her and turned back to the child.

Principal: Can you tell me a rhyme or a story?
Kid: Which one would you prefer—rhyme or story?

Principal: Hmm, okay. Tell me a story.
Kid: Do you want me to tell one I studied, or one I wrote myself?

The principal was surprised.
Principal: Oh! You write stories too?
Kid: Why not?

Intrigued and smiling, the principal asked:
Principal: Alright then, tell me one that you wrote.

The girl began confidently:
Kid: One day, Ravana kidnapped Sita and took her to Sri Lanka.
Principal: Okay... then?

Kid: Rama asked Hanuman for help to rescue Sita. Hanuman agreed.

Principal: And then?

Kid: Then Hanuman called his friend Spider-Man!

The principal raised her eyebrows, surprised.
Principal: Why Spider-Man?

Kid: Because there are lots of mountains between India and Sri Lanka. If Spider-Man comes, he can swing across easily with his web!

Principal: But Hanuman can fly, can’t he?

Kid: Yes, but he’s carrying the Sanjeevani Mountain in one hand, so he can’t fly fast!

Everyone in the room burst into soft laughter.

After a short pause, the kid asked,
Kid: Should I continue?

Principal: Please do!

Kid: So Hanuman and Spider-Man flew to Sri Lanka and saved Sita. She thanked both of them.

Principal: Why did she thank them?

Kid: Because when someone helps you, you should say thank you!

Then Sita asked Hanuman to call Hulk.

Now everyone was even more curious.

Principal: Hulk? Why Hulk?

Kid: Because now Sita needs to return home. Hanuman already has the mountain in one hand and Spider-Man in the other. He can’t carry Sita too!

The room was filled with smiles.

The kid continued:
Kid: So they all started flying to India and met my friend Akshay on the way.

Principal: How did Akshay get there?

Kid: It’s my story. I can add whoever I want!

Everyone laughed again.

Kid: They all landed at the Bangalore Majestic Bus Stand.

Principal: Why there?

Kid: Because they forgot the way. Then Hulk got an idea and called Dora the Explorer. She came and took Sita to Malleshwaram 5th Cross.

Principal: Why Malleshwaram 5th Cross?

Kid (smiling): Because that’s where Sita lives. And I am Sita!

The principal was amazed. She hugged the child warmly. Not only was she admitted, but she was also gifted a Dora doll.

Moral:

Children have incredible imaginations. But too often, we limit their creativity by expecting them to think like adults. Let’s give them the space to dream, explore, and express freely. You’ll be amazed by what they come up with!
